It should surprise none of the charlatans who look for a government which suits those who own the media, and who have paid good money for the Tory party, that Gordon Brown doesn't do their bidding. There was no need for an election when Tony Blair quit and Gordon Brown was elected unopposed to the Leadership of the Labour Party and thereby to become Prime Minister.
There is no requirement for him to read the papers which relate to al-Megrahi's release on compassionate grounds, even if he has access to them,. He has all sorts of useful business to attend to we may be sure; and he takes an interest in Cricket, so why should he not take ten minutes out to congratulate the winning English Team?
Of course the bullies on the BBC (British Billionaires' Corporation) and elsewhere have the full support of all sorts of scunners who rely on the billionaires who own the media. How would BBC News manage without the Daily Telegraph, Mail & Co to follow for opinions dressed as facts? How many Daily Telegraph bloggers and their ilk are embedded with BBC news and current affairs teams and presenters?
Why is it unsurprising that Brown ignores them? Courage, and efficiency: no need, y'see?

Glad no 10 "does" cheese, I wonder which ones?
